BACKGROUND
​​Freshy S-Mart was founded by Álvaro Castaño, an entrepreneur with over 11 years of experience in the food and hospitality industry. After launching his first restaurant in 2014, Álvaro went on to own and operate a total of 11 successful establishments by 2024. Through his journey, he identified a growing gap in the availability of fresh, healthy, and balanced food options—especially for individuals who spend extended periods in workspaces, residential buildings, or transit hubs.
